How to use this site

Pages describe how state systems usually work, with citations and check dates where a claim was verified. They are general information. They do not apply the law to your facts, and they are not telling you what to file in your case.

Confirm current fees, forms, deadlines, and office practice on the official government site linked from the page — or by calling that office. If a filing is already on record, or a sale, refinance, or credit freeze is in play, talk to an attorney about your situation.

LienGuardAI does not file, dispute, or remove anything for you. It does not retrieve or store UCC or land-records search results. This site does not currently accept document uploads; do not send privileged, confidential, or sensitive documents here.

Freshness, fees, and last-verified dates

Statute text, portal URLs, and office practice drift. Each state page shows a last verified date for its most recent page-level check, and a separate line when specific items were rechecked later. A page marked verification pending shows no date and no badge. Weekly automated checks flag UCC search links that stop responding.

Those dates help you judge freshness. They are not a promise the law is unchanged today. No page publishes an exact dollar fee; fee references point to the office’s own current schedule.

No templates or fill-in documents

LienGuardAI does not publish templates, fill-in affidavits, motions, demand letters, or lists of fields to copy into a document. Where a state publishes its own official form, the state page links to that form and describes in plain language what it is for. Where no official form exists, the page describes what the law provides — it does not draft a document for you.

Case summaries

Some state pages include a plain-language note about a published judicial opinion. Those notes are summaries of the opinion text, not a complete report of the case and not a statement about anyone beyond what the court wrote. Confirm names, holdings, and procedural posture against the opinion itself.

AI-assisted research, human-verified claims

Because this site’s name includes “AI,” here is how research is produced: drafting and survey work may be AI-assisted. Published citations and process claims are supposed to be human-checked against live official sources, with last-verified dates on state pages. This is a product disclosure. It is not a claim that a particular labeling statute requires that sentence on every page.

Utah AI-disclosure rules — verification pending. A live check of Utah's official generative-AI consumer-disclosure rules has not been completed — the legislature's code page did not return the statute text. That is verification pending, not a finding that Utah has no such rule. Confirm any Utah AI-disclosure duty against the live Utah Code. See the Utah page.

See the about & methodology page for verification standards, what a Limited badge means, and how to report a gap.

Protection badges are editorial

Each state page carries two Strong / Moderate / Limited badges — one for UCC filings and one for land records — summarizing the verified public tools on the check date. They are not a guarantee of outcome and not attorney sign-off. A Limited badge means the verified tools are thin (for example criminal-only or officials-only), not that the page is unfinished. See the badge definition.
